Discover the Art of Nanette de Kool: A Journey in Textiles and 3D Knits

We are excited to present the works of Nanette de Kool in our showroom. You are warmly invited to explore her distinctive creations

Nanette de Kool is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. After years of working as a designer and stylist in the fashion industry, she launched her own fashion label from Antwerp, Belgium. Upon returning to the Netherlands, she joined textile innovator ByBorre, where she developed a deep passion for 3D knitting.

Nanette’s work revolves around circular 3D knits, using discarded textiles, yarn remnants, and even production flaws as key elements of her process. She embraces these imperfections, allowing them to shape the texture and tactility of her pieces, adding depth and richness to her visual narrative. By screenprinting, washing, cutting, and reassembling the fabric, she creates dynamic new compositions with layered colors, textures, and stories.

Beyond her wall hangings, Nanette also creates suspended screens, room dividers, and bespoke pieces. In addition to her textile work, she is also a talented graphic designer.
